‘The Parable of Dollars’ encourages anyone to pursue prosperity through self discovery, deliberate business intelligence and financial planning. It provides both secular and biblical pointer to wealth creation.

The book has eight subheadings.

ONE- ‘THE PARABLE OF DOLLARS.’

The book derives its title from the scripture Matth. 25:14-18. Here Sam emphasizes that the starting point of financial breakthrough is for you to realize that you are God's steward. The money you have is not yours. It is something committed to your trust by the actual owner, God. Sam says that God will always use what you have (resources) to bless you. Examples of such are; mental ability, gifts, ideas, relationship and even income. He advises that what God will use to give you financial breakthrough is already around you. He advises that you need to invest your money in a worthwhile business to experience financial breakthrough.

TWO- WEALTH MENTALITY

Sam maintains that people need to change their mindset toward how to make money. That until we change, nothing changes. That everything begins from the heart. Prov. 23:7

The difference between the poor and the rich is not in what they do or what they have but in the quality of their hearts. If we think it is possible to do the impossible, then it is possible too and vice versa. He advises that we should dare to do something even if it is difficult. Dare to take risk. Sam says that we need to develop wealth mentality.

THREE- FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE Hab.2:2

To experience financial growth you need to apply the six steps towards financial intelligence. Firstly, decide on the definite goal. Secondly, decide on a definite time frame. Give it a deadline. Thirdly, write down your goals. Step four; develop a plan to achieve your goals. Step five; decide what you are ready to give in return and know the price you are to pay. Lastly, think about your goals everyday. Sam points out that to take the right step to grow wealth we need to save money, acquire shares and be an entrepreneur.

FOUR- FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

To be financially successful, you must learn to spend less than you earn. When you have cultivated the habit of saving, learn to invest and let the law of compound interest work for you. Avoid get rich quick scheme. Invest in real estate. Rise to the top of the corporate ladder in your field, you could decide to rise to a certain level and launch out on your own and start your business. Have perspiration- sharpen your technical expertise, be passionate, prioritize your wants, build a system

FIVE-MONEY POWER

Learn to move from financial manna to financial harvest. This is the purpose of God towards us. Your financial abundance is tied to your passion for what you do. Money flows in the direction of energy. Don't operate in the area of your weakness. You should note that your uniqueness is tied to your wealth.  Therefore, turn your uniqueness into money. Sam puts it that God has designed it that you would be blessed while you are doing what you enjoy doing. If you don't have a vision of your own yu will spend your life fulfilling other people's vision. Be a problem solver and cultivate excellence.

SIX- THREE RICH MEN

Note that God want His children to be rich. You should not feel guilty when God bless you with wealth. The story of the Rich man and Lazarus has made some christians believe that to be rich means you will go to hell. Like 16:19-24. Avoid the spirit of greed when money comes. When money comes into your life, it aims at taking only one place and it it the place that God has reserved for himself. The purpose of wealth according to the scripture is for you to be comfortable in the fulfilment of His covenant with you. God wants you to be materially blessed.

SEVEN- FINANCIAL EMPOWERMENT

This chapter begins with the note that in a bid to justify poverty, the scripture has been misquoted to say that money is the root of all evil. The Bible never said that. Money is not the root of all evil, rather lack of money is the root of most evil. 1 Tim 6:12.  Settle in your mind that you deserve to be rich. Have the mentality that money is not scarce. Money flows in the direction of powers. It is God that give you power to make wealth. Duet 8:18

What you need is power not money. Once you have the power (the gift of God). The power is invisible. The four points of contact for the power are; the blood of covenant through Jesus' death, Worship, prayers, the word of God, giving and impartation.

EIGHT- RELEASING YOUR INCREASE

Note that God has designed life in such a way that we would not have to struggle to flow along with him. God decided from the beginning that He would not be creating fresh fruits daily. He simplified His job by placing seeds in every fruits, knowing that the seeds would eventually produce fruits when we sow them. God expect you to increase. Gen. 16:10. The kind of seeds we need to sow are; spiritual seeds (the word of God) and financial seeds (money). If you need to control the future sow the seed. The future is in the seed. You reap what you sow. You need to sow your seed and expect increase. Ways of sowing seed include tithing, offering, giving passionately.
