ELECTION OF THE NEW EXECUTIVE MEMBERS OF NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PROPRIETORS OF PRIVATE SCHOOLS (NAPPS) EKET CHAPTER
The Election of the new Exco Members of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools held at Restoration Power International School, 8 Idua Road, Eket on Thursday 29th September, 2023 by 2pm was a huge success.
The hall was filled with hundreds of proprietors of private schools, Eket chapter who came en masse to vote in their preferred candidates who would take over power from the outgoing Exco members of the NAPPS Eket Chapter after four years of their leadership.
The election was conducted by Elder Charles Etukudo NAPPS State adviser who doubled as Eleco chair person designate and the principal of Restoration Power International School Eket and monitored by Pastor Hon. Davis Udofia, NAPPS Akwa Ibom State chairman.
After the election, the following proprietors were elected to take over the leadership of NAPPS, Eket Chapter for another four years: Pastor Victor Micheal Bassey-Chairman, Eld. Emmanuel Akpan- Vice chairman, Dcns. Blessing Akwaowo- Secretary, Dcns. Helen Monday Udua-Treasurer, Eld. Ubong Henry Udo-PRO, Mrs. Blessing Olasinbo- Financial Secretary and Pst(Mrs) Edna Willie- Welfare Officer.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected chairman, Pastor Victor Michael Bassey thanked the Eleco Board, State Excos and all the school proprietors who came out to vote him and his team members. He acknowledged that the votes of the people are mandate given to him; and that, he will ensure NAPPS in Eket chapter reclaims its pride of place.
He promised to work with His team to reposition the standard as well maintain the objectives of NAPPS in Eket Chapter. He pledged to defend and protect the interest of all Proprietors of Private Schools in Eket. He therefore called for unalloyed support from all the Proprietors of privates Schools; stressing that, their supports and cooperation will help him and his team to achieve alot.
Giving votes of thanks, NAPPS State chairman, Pastor Hon. Davis Udofia appreciated all the school proprietors for their unity of purpose, spirit of togetherness and the faith they have on NAPPS over the years. He thanked them for coming out to cast their votes for those they believe would maintain and defend the sanctity and integrity of the Association in Eket chapter.
